Creative Logo Competition

We are looking for a great design to create a Logo for an Art Event in Pisa (Tuscany) for June 2012.

The Logo has to be related with RECYCLED MATERIAL (especially the meaning in the society of Today) and the ART.

The best logo project will get a £250 contract to create a related catalogue, flyers and advertising of the event.

The designer’s name and personal contacts will be in all official communication and advertising. Some of the patrons of the Event are University of Pisa, Tuscany Region, Pisa Council, Pro-Loco of Pisa.

The jury will be made by the Patron’s Presidents (or a direct responsible), the professors of the University and the organisers of the event.

This is a perfect challenge for a talented designer who wants to trigger his/her own fantasy and have an opportunity to receive international exposure.

The deadline to present the logo is fixed for the 2nd of March 2012 at 5pm.

Any later application won’t be considerate.

Due to the amount of application only the design decided will be contacted  and the name will be announced on the website.

DESIGN BRIEF

The main keys for the project are:

- Recycle Material

- Art
and eventually

- Litorale di Pisa (Litorale is the part on the sea of Pisa)

The Logo should be an image or shape that is easily recognisable is used to represent the event.

The Logo has to be for

- Print (Business cards, letterheads, brochures etc)
- Online (Website, online advertising, banner ads etc)

Ps: the 7 deadly sins is the theme of this year, in the next editions it might change. The recycled material will be the must of any events.

The project explanation:

All the artworks joined to the art exhibition will be made using recycled material. Everything starts from the idea of the 7 deadly sins who lead the lives, passing trough the creative minds of artists as a symbolic process of atonement which will focus on the sin that binds all of us: we are living killing the Earth but the Art can save us.

Besides the exhibition (which include painting, sculpture, photography, installations) the event will also feature entertainment events, conferences and discussions on relevant topics. We will involve schools, colleges, universities and cultural associations in order to create an interactive workshop between stakeholders (artists and professionals people) and the event visitors.
